Last Friday Night, I attended the Blogosphere Magazine Awards.
Blogosphere Magazine is a paper magazine about the influencer world, including blogging, YouTube, social medias and more. I already explained it in details here 😉
Now let’s talk about the Awards Ceremony they held on Friday 8th June 2018, to announce the winner of each category (Fashion, Beauty, Food, Parenting, Traveling, etc)
The theme was formal, so I was wearing a long pink dress from Little Mistress, pink high heels from primark, and a clutch bag from primark too (primark addict, who’s with me ?). I also got my nails ready by myself, that I surprising bought… in primark.
RED CARPET GALORE
The traffic being a bit slow, I arrived when almost everyone was already there. Some were sill meeting, chatting and taking pictures on the red carpet outside of the venue, while some others were already wandering inside and discovering the sponsoring brands who were presenting a few of their products.
I took my time to get my Red Carpet poses, when Photographer John Nassari shot a few ones for me. Check his work, I think he is incredibly talented. I also chatted with him a little bit about Mental Health Awareness, and it definitely inspired me to work on it so much more !
Time for Festivities !
The main room, with all the tables and the stage ready for the show to start, was quite breathtaking. I knew the venue already for Blogosphere Magazine held their 2017 Christmas Festival here, but I was still so impressed by the efforts they made in the decoration.
After a quick presentation from the lovely Alice Audley, the editor in chef, singer El Sam performed a few songs for us while diner was served. Chicken pie with potatoes and roast vegetables for me, and it was delicious ! I got to meet a few people at my table : among them, the Award Winner of Food Influencer of the Year : Alexis Felicia Adjei. Check out her content, she deserved it 100% !
And The Show Must Go On…
When the Award show finally started, I was completely excited as this is still new to me to attend events like this. The first category was Fashion Influencer of the Year, and its winner : Chloe In Curve. Don’t even ask me why, but I was already getting emotional while she made a winner speech. And all along the night, the more the winners shared their emotions and tears, the more I had butterflies in my stomach.
Why ? Because I just ticked, and I realized anything you believe in, is possible. You can achieve your goals, no matter how much you have been told you couldn’t. I grew up thinking I was made to achieve big things, but too many people around me kept telling me I would never. I cannot count how many times I heard the words “you are way too ambitious” or “be realistic”.
But a few years from now, who thought being an influencer on the internet and social medias, and sharing messages with the world could become a passion and a job ? Okay, this is not my case just yet, but at least the Awards Ceremony made me believe it is achievable.
El Sam came back to perform a few more original songs and covers for us while having dessert and chatting, and the show ended with Melanie Murphy winning Blogosphere Influencer of the Year Awards, meaning she will be the next issue’s cover !
See You Soon, Blogosphere…
Congratulations to all the winners and nominees, and thank you to all the sponsors and Blogosphere Magazine for spoiling us so much, and for organizing such an amazing evening that made me feel like a real Princess on the Red Carpet. (yes, Princesses go to the red carpet !)
Thank you also John Nassari for his amazing pictures (used on this blogpost).
I am definitely looking forward to going to more events, and meet new people, share more messages and get inspired. See you there, maybe ?
